    Hi there,

I am currently trying to configure Woomoodle and no matter how many times, and how closely I follow the setup guides, I keep getting the same error: Error! Your moodle site might not configured properly. I have been in touch with my hosting provider Siteground, and I have an open ticket regarding the issue, however, we have established already that there are no server security blockages, that the configuration details are correct in respect of the moodle webservices, and other elements detailed in your support documentation. But we still cannot get it working. The only additional information that I can provide that may be relevant is that the moodle site is new, and whilst there are courses created they are not populated with content. Also the moodle site is hosted by siteground as well as the wordpress site.
I really need to engage on this and get a working solution for integrating moodle and wordpress so if you get back I will be very quick to respond and get information back to you.

    many thanks,

    Richard

  • Hi Richard, Thanks for reaching our Support!!

May we know, whcih version of moodle are you using.

We have checked the same, it is working perfectly in moodle 3.4+.

Please follow the below steps to set this up in moodle :
Here you can see the Description page of this plugin in www.ads-software.com. (Please refer to this attachment https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bx3S5WbEjHvpTklZX0pFLTFMWnpKcG9XQWFDWERjd0V4dDVB/view?usp=sharing)

    Hi Downtown,

I followed those steps to the letter and in the order provided but I am still getting the same error. My web hosting service looked into it on their side and confirmed there were no security blocks preventing communication between the two sites, they also followed the correct steps on my site and confirmed the same error. (details at the end of the email). You will find screenshots of the process I followed via this link,

Perhaps there is a mistake or a clue in there somewhere. I am really at a loss and this is a critical element of what I am trying to build. Your support is very welcome!
I am not sure if it would help but if you would like my login credentials for wordpress and moodle perhaps you could look directly at my environment and spot something that is out of place?

    Many thanks

    Richard

    Hello Richard,

Can you once go to MooWoodle General Settings and check whether all the fields have correct value (access url = https://cleverfoxlearning.com/cleverlearningportal and webservice token).

Also check the user you selected for the web service in moodle has supreme permission. Better if the user is an admin.

    Thanks,
    Downtown

Richard, we hope this issue is resolved.

If you need any further support, please open another thread.

Same error. Should it work in moodle 3.5?
    Thanks

Hi Miguel, Just a quick note. I resolved this issue with my domain host service provider. In contrast to their original conclusion that there was no security block, it turned our there was one. They had a default security setting on their server to do with IP address relays being blocked (I am not an expert in that area so that description might be inaccurate) They were able to unblock the error for me and moodle could talk to wordpress (aLso I was hosting both sites, moodle and wordpress with the same provider)
