• After upgrading to the latest version any new gallery is throwing this error.

Warning: unserialize() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /home/delval9/public_html/wp-content/plugins/flickr-album-gallery/shortcode.php on line 42

I also updated an old gallery and now it is also giving us the same error.

All the old galleries created by the older version 2.2.1 are still OK.

I did a test and edited line 42 in the shortcode.php file so it would go to the else statement and the new gallery worked but it then broke the older galleries.

    Please help.

Please Activate and deactivate the latest plugin 2.2.4 once.

    Hope this will fix it.

I will give a test gallery created with version 2.2.1.

    Thanks

    Hi @ragrss,

I have released a fix in Version 2.2.5, so update the plugin.

And you need to update all your old Flickr Album gallery shortcodes only.

If your old gallery shortcode like this: [FAG id=123]

Then update the old gallery shortcode like this: [FAG id=143 gallery='old']

Like, we are adding a new parameter in plugin shortcode. This tells the plugin, the gallery was created in an older version of the plugin.

For all new galleries, no action is required. (gallery which is created in plugin version 2.2.5)

    Thanks

this must be a joke, right?

You change the plugin code, but the short code remains the same and you want +7.000 users to manually update all pages? If an average of all users have 20 galeries, this means 140.000 short codes must be manually updated in order for the plugin to work again. There must have been a better implementation or at least a notification bar in WP.

I really liked your plugin, but this is not going in the right direction. Sorry dude.

It’s my compulsion, whether my plugin goes down forever or need to follow the WordPress guideline strictly.

    Hope you understand.
