    Hi,
I’ve a problem with the plugin, which is quite nice but in the last few days gave me a few errors, and it didn’t use the correct image from the post.

After a quick look at what was happening, I’ve noticed that the problems are due to the fact that whitespaces in the image file name are not encoded as %20, as the Open Graph standard requires.

Would it be possible for you to correct this issue?

PS: someone might say that whitespaces should be avoided in file names: I agree this isn’t a best practice, but I think the plugin should manage correctly this situation nonetheless.

    Thank you very much.

  • Hi there Doc75,

I’ve just tried to upload a image to WordPress with a whitespace on it’s name and it was replaced by a “-” upon upload, so I think WordPress is avoiding this problem already.

Anyway, I’ve forced a filename with spaces on our metabox field and was able to replicate the problem you reported:

URL ‘***’ for property ‘og:image:url’ of the object at ‘***’ is invalid because it contains whitespace characters.

I’m going to release a new version with a fix.

    1.6.2 fixes this
