• Hi all,

    Hope all is well.

You’ll notice that if you go to my blog’s homepage, right click the page, then go to “Inspect Element” and then to “Console”, you’ll notice some errors on there.

I tried contacting my hosting server and other places and nobody knows how to get rid of them. Does anyone here possibly know how?

    Thanks guys!

  • I see console errors if I go to amazon.com too….is there something that isn’t working or working poorly that results from the errors?

It said something about my Twitter widget (Which I just got rid of) and my ShareThis plugin (Which I also got rid of) but after getting rid of them, the errors are still there.

I’m using OptinMonster for optins to help build subscribers and the support team told me that the errors might be a reason why I’m not getting that many impressions (Note: I receive over 400 daily visits but have only had over 60 impressions).

The more impressions, the better chance of subscribers, and these errors might be in the way because the OptinMonster support person said that it may prevent some people from seeing my optins.

    Thanks again,

When you say “got rid of”, how did you do that? Also, some plug ins leave behind traces of code etc in .htaccess and elsewhere even after they are deleted. I’d deactivate all the plug ins and switch to a default theme like 2014 to see if things improve. If they do, turn things back on, one by one and test to see what is causing the problem.

Thank you webbrewers!! I had just signed up to these forums because I had a ton of error codes on my wordpress account page. I did what you said and deleted some plugins that I wasn’t using and it cleaned it up!!

You know what guys, the Twitter error messages are referring to my Twitter widget which is a Jetpack plugin widget I believe. Maybe I need to delete Jetpack?

    Try deactivating it to see.

    Nope, no luck ??

The home page has a lot of content which has to load before the optin pop up appears. It’s possible people are moving on before they ever see it. I’d redesign the home page so it states clearly what the site is about and has less stuff so the optin appears sooner.

Well see, the thing is, there was a reason why I changed to the theme I have now because of the load times of my older one. I load the theme I’m using now and it loads fine for me. There’s nothing much but articles. A couple of small ads but other than that it’s all articles and that’s the heart and soul of the blog. The juicy content if you will.
