Errors only checkbox not working

    I use this plugin successfully on several sites, and it runs backups without problems.

    However, even if I check the “Errors only” box (Send email with log only when errors occur during job execution.), it still sends an email EVERY TIME, even when it succeeds.

    How do I get the plugin to send a message only when there is an error?

    so even you checked “Errors only”, you still see something like [SUCCESSFUL] BackWPup log every time?

    For example: It ran a database-only backup on March 27. I received the following email message:

    ????From: “BackWPup JM” <EMAIL ADDRESS>
    To: EMAIL ADDRESS
    Sent: Wednesday, March 27, 2019 3:58:10 PM
    Subject: BackWPup archive from 27-Mar-2019 15:58: Database only: weekly

    ?????Backup archive: 2019-03-27_15-58-09_PZFJG7X401.zip
    ??????****************
    It did not say Success, but everything seemed normal. The attached archive file contains no mention of errors or problems. The last line of the sql file is: — Backup completed on 2019-03-27 15:58:09

    I just verified again that this Job has the errors only box checked. Is this the INTENDED behavior? Am I misunderstanding? Thank you.

    No, it’s not intended behavior, if “errors only” option is checked then you will only receive BackWPUp report email if an error happens.
    Did you set the backup to email destination?
