Errors suppressed after activating the plugin

Hi. I’m creating new website with debug mode but no lines appears on log file after activating this plugin.
I found
error_reporting('0');in floating-social-media-icon/function.php, but is there any reason to add the setting? It makes hard to find bug on other plugin/themes.https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/floating-social-media-icon/
