Errors, unable to log in

  • when i go to the URL of the blog, i got a list of error messages.

    I reinstalled WordPress from scratch, i got an empty blog. I found a backup, uploaded the backup, when i go to the blog URL now I get

    Error establishing a database connection

    This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at prohost12.34sp.com. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

    I know the hosting is perfectly ok, I had a blank blog at one stage. How do i fix this to reestablish the uploaded blog??

  • Correct the problem in the wp-config.php file.

    And please do not bump. It is against forum rules.

    correct it how? What is the problem ?

    Look at your wp-config.php file. Something in it is wrong. That is why you can’t connect to the database. Look at your wp-config-sample.php for help.

    The host name had changed, then i got error messages about a function being deprecated, so i updated the software (didnt fix it) then switched to Twelve Twenty them, that sorted it.

    DOnt feel you have to rush to help anyone…..

    I don’t.
