• Hello,
    I have a serious problem while cropping images using your plugin… It’s all fine when I’m cropping the default sizes, e.g. for thumbnail and medium cropping works just fine but when it comes to custom sizes the plugin doesn’t work at all. I get “Can not update attachment data” error and not only this size isn’t cropped properly but also the other already set crops reset to default.

    There’s also an error while cropping the large size. In this case error is “Invalid target”. The cropping isn’t done for that size and the same as before other sizes set back to default cropping.

    Can you help with that problem?

  • Hello,

    same situation here, but I have found a way to pass throught this. First create the crop for the ‘thumbnail’ and then creatre the crop for your custom-size image. It works for me.

    I use the ‘Dynamic Image Resizer’ plugin.

    If you use ‘Dynamic Image Resizer’, change the line 1148 with this:

    if ( !function_exists(‘dynimg_image_sizes_advanced’) && !wp_update_attachment_metadata( $post->ID, $new_metadata ) ):

    Thank you very much for your answer.

    Unfortunately, your advice didn’t help. Creating the crop for the ‘thumbnail’ first doesn’t work for me…

    I also don’t use ‘Dynamic Image Resizer’…

    Doe’s anyone have another idea how to solve this problem?

    I have the same problem, I’m afraid

    @biranit, you can discuss that on your own thread.

    Andrew: I’m not sure I understand. Discuss it on a new thread? Why? I am just echoing that I have the exact same problem – so I assume if a solution will be posted here, I will see it too. No? I should open a new thread for the same bug?

    Are you using the same version of WordPress on the same physical server hosted by the same hosts with the same plugins, theme & configurations as the original poster?

    No? Then your problem – despite any similarity in symptoms – is likely to be completely different. So – as per the Forum Welcome – please help us to help you and post a new topic when we ask you to.

    I see. Thank you.
