• After upgrading multiple sites with W3’s latest version I consistently get these errors:
    1. W3 Total Cache Error: Default settings are in use. The configuration file could not be read or doesn’t exist. Please “Save the settings” to create the file.
** Even if I hit the “Save” button the message persists

    2. W3 Total Cache Error: Could not change permissions 755 on /home/domainname/public_html/wp-content back to original permissions 755.
** When I check the permissions are set to 755
** I get this message twice

    3. On one of the sites the system filled the temp folder on the server with files and the sysadmin had to shut the account down to stop it.
The only thing I did differently on that install was activate the new “Google Page Speed” feature by adding the API (which the system does not seem to save). After we disabled that feature the temp file problem went away.
