I am having a problem with eshop.

When a customer goes to purchase a product and checks out it sends them to paypal (Working correctly). if the customer was to close the paypal window then try to repurchase the same items the proceed to checkout button will now just reload the checkout page and stop sending them to paypal.

Clearing the cache on customers browser fixes the problem.

So now if a person buys a product and wants to come back to purchase another item they cannot without deleting their cache.

Not sure how to fix this issue any help is appreciated

Esmi, there is obviously a problem with YOUR plugin on my site using the standard Twenty Eleven theme with no plugins activated I can duplicate this issue non stop. your responses are all in defense of your product which is fine, but I would rather have some ideas about what could be causing this and suggestions on things that may fix it.

Obviously others have had this same issue and those individual issues were resolved months ago but I would love for my individual issue to be resolved as well.

Then try posting on the plugin’s dedicated forum but FWIW, I’ve tried to replicate your problem but I cannot. I’ve also spoken to the plugin’s developer (who is sitting about 2ft away from me) and he cannot replicate it either. Whatever this is, it is specific to your site.

Please understand that this is a free plugin that we do our best to support but we cannot offer free support for each and every site-specific issue. You are also using a theme that we do not support as we have explained on the plugin’s forum. At the end of the day, there is a limit to what help we can offer,

Let’s forget about the theme, I am using twenty ten theme.
Could this be a problem with the way paypal is configured or does it have to be something with the site or server?

    Let’s forget about the theme

But we can’t – because you’re not using Twenty Ten or Twenty Eleven. You are using a theme that we specifically do not support.

    ESTORE THEME
We cannot support Elegant Theme’s Estore theme with eShop. Please contact Elegant Themes for support.

Could this be a problem with the way paypal is configured

Unlikely since the situation you describe – which is different from the ones at https://quirm.net/forum/topic.php?id=2787 – relates to users not even attempting to complete the transaction at PayPal.

does it have to be something with the site or server?

It could be a caching issue. Are you running a cache? Are your hosts? What about your ISP?

This issue does crop up from time to time, and there has been no real commonality between the reports. However your site is currently using a theme we will not support. If you want us to look into this any further, you will need to change it to Twenty Eleven. It will need to remain with that theme until we have run a few simple tests. After which you are free to change it back. And no, I can’t guarantee when we can do this.

But esmi’s question above has reminded me, you also need to deactivate all other plugins whilst we carry out those tests.

    I appreciate your response.

Theme is now set to twenty eleven and all plugins have been disabled

Also so you know clicking the proceed to confirmation too many times will get your IP blocked from the web address

then you will need to disable whatever is doing that as well.

And now we find out about this?
    head -> desk…

    It returns a 501

that makes me think that you have now solved the issue? would that be correct?

Problem is not solved, also after purchasing a product I could not purchase anything else.

Site is sitting on the twenty eleven theme as well as all plugins deactiviated,

*sigh* Do leave eShop active. How can anything be checked otherwise?

    (@toeknee32)

*sigh* eshop was left active, you would know this if you were actually trying to support the product by testing it on the site, esmi rich is helping me but thank you for your insights thus far
