Essential plugin for any news site

As soon as I found out about PDF Embedder, I knew it would be a game-changer for my local news site. Sure enough, my readers appreciated being able to actually review documents that I described, such as police reports, property info, etc. The established newspaper could have been doing this for years, but seemed to enjoy dispensing facts as they saw fit, sometimes leaving out portions of documents that readers deserved to know about. My idea was, “write the story, provide the evidence, and let the audience judge.”

Wouldn’t you know? Like so many other things, once the mainstream news outlet saw that I was embedding PDFs, they copied my approach. Ultimately good for democracy, even if I don’t love their skeezey ways.

Simple to use, both for editors and for users. This is kinda what the Internet was invented for.
