Essentials before upgrading 3.2.1 to 3.3.1 multi network with sub domains

  • What are the essentials on upgrading a multi-site network with subdomains running 3.2.1 to 3.3.1. I tried it once and it messed up. My host had a very recent back up that saved me.

    How is an upgrade different for a multi site network with sub domains. I used to have a multi site network with sub directories but not sub domains.

    I am seeking guidance so this upgrade goes smoothly.

    I deactivated all of my plugins in admin mode. I deleted a lot of unused plugins before that. Smooth upgrade. All Working!
