etag displayed in header, regardless of it being disabled

    Turned off browser caching all together in the meantime. Etags disappear when I do this, but I’m still wondering why it was showing in the headers regardless of whether I had it specifically disabled.

    Any insight appreciated.

    in .htaccess will disable apache’s default config
