EU GDPR compliance

I would like to know if there are any update coming about the EU GDPR law ?
I would like to use pseudonymisation (aka encrypt the data that could be used to identify a user if the database was hacked and decrypt it using a passphrase when needed).

You have already set a cfdb7_before_save_data filter that i can use to do the encryption part before the database insert. Could you apply some filters when the data is queried from the database ? (before the unserialize maybe) so we can decrypt data there ?
