Hi I have been trying to set up my cart and checkout page with woocommerce blocks and all is fine except one thing. The euro sign isn’t showing correctly. All over the website it is fine yet at the checkout it displays €

Is there anything I could do about this?

Hmm, I’m not sure I see what you mean here. When I change my currency to Euro, it seems to work in the cart and checkout blocks.

    Example product: https://d.pr/i/BDM0vc/YYguolOLEl

    Cart block: https://d.pr/i/mRhfrt/4bUgPzpLY8

    Checkout block: https://d.pr/i/cmtAKc/7GGD8yy2sz

Can you send us a screenshot of what you’re seeing? I recommend https://snipboard.io for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL in this thread.

    Thanks!

    Hi adam,

Oh yeah thats exactly how I want it to look. Only this is how it looks for me.

    Cart: https://snipboard.io/Wa7xTR.jpg

    Checkout: https://snipboard.io/Z6dXMn.jpg

    Shop:https://snipboard.io/1xwWqf.jpg

As you can see the shop is showing the euro sign perfectly fine whilst the checkout and cart, build with the block plugin is showing it differently.

Btw I am using elementor pro for the website design. Yet this page is build with the woocommerce block builder just because it looks beter than the normal woocommerce cart and checkout.

    Thanks for you help!

Hi @daanu – I’ve verified that my cart and checkout blocks both display the Euro symbol normally as well: https://d.pr/i/pvg66e

This kind of problem can sometimes be caused by either a conflict with your theme or with another plugin. In this case, I’d assume that may either be your theme or Elementor, even though you aren’t using the Elementor page builder on this page.
    ?
The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict.

You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

Let us know how that goes! ??

    Hi joey,

I’ve already tried it but it doesn’t work. It even shows the wrong currency in the woocommerce tab as well.

That’s odd. And, to be clear, that happens with a default WordPress theme active (not Elementor) and no other plugins except WooCommerce enabled?

Does this happen in all browsers? It might be something specific to your usual browser, so maybe try on another computer or in a browser you don’t usually use. Does that show the Euro sign normally?

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    Hey Guys,

I got the same issue. Allready tried another currency and it is shown correctly.

Without Woocommerce blocks it was shown normally but with Blocks it is shown as “&euro”.

Already tried to deactivate blocks but than the whole wooceommerce cart is getting deleted. How is that possible?

    Hi,

I have the exact same problem as above. Everything is fine until adding blocks with Woocommerce Blocks. The euro symbol is then displayed as “€”.

I’m using Woocommerce Blocks because of the better looks and possibilities of the cart and checkout.

    Thank you for your help.
