• I use JetPack (VaultPress) Backup on a client site where I wanted to use the restore functionality. I thought it was much quicker as it is already connected to the site via SSH. However, I was wrong.

    I wanted to restore only plugins and the database. It took forever to restore that could have taken less than 15 minutes for me even if I did manually. What’s more. I can’t cancel the restore process once initiated (that’s okay to some extend, though). It keeps “Checking for remote files” for hours. I wish there is a simpler and faster restore functionality.

    Three days ago I was updating my blog page settings and upon clicking “review” I discovered all settings for the page structure were wonky, the entire page content wasn’t displaying and the only thing that did was the contact button at the bottom of the page. I attempted a version reset. The reset display button stuck, but I received notification via email that the reset had completed, but when looking at the site, everything was disaster. After multiple additional attempts over the last two day with the same results, I’m reaching out for help. I can’t locate a “help” post, so I’m posting my issue here.
