    I’m assuming this is a case where you have no upcoming events and you have the plugin set to display the current year’s events in that case.

    Until you have some events to add, you can easily change the shortcode on your calendar page so that it displays 2013 events. Look in the documentation section for the plugin for the full explanation of advanced shortcode settings, but something like this should work:

    [mfgigcal range=2013-01-01:2013-12-31]

    You can also change the php if you want, but you’ll lose your changes next time you upgrade the plugin.

    I’m sorry I didn’t realize I could do a range with shortcode.
