I struggle with editing the event list view in the main menu of my website. I am using a query loop block set to The Event Calendar’s ‘Events’ option. However, when I want to change the default event creation block inside of it to event date block, The Event Calendar’s blocks are nowhere to be found. I am talking about the plugin’s blocks described here https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/an-introduction-to-event-blocks/. I have tried installing Gutenberg and enabling the specific option in The Event Calendar’s setting but that didn’t help. Additionally, the ‘Events Archive’ template of my theme (https://ibb.co/6yzbx85) is rarely there. I usually have to edit a template I am currently on in the editor for it to appear in the template list. Yet, when I open it, instead of The Event Calendar’s block I see information that my website doesn’t support the tribe/archive-events block.
I am running WordPress 6.0 with ‘Twenty Twenty-Two’ theme, the other plugins I use are FooGallery and WPForms, all on the latest version.
    Thanks for helping.

    Hello,
I also haven’t heard from you in a while. It’s been almost 6 months and I haven’t noticed any improvement on my end. This makes me feel I haven’t explained my problem properly. I’ll try to tell you about my goal now and please tell me if it’s achieveable using The Events Calendar. I want my main page to show a simple widget displaying upcoming events. I want it to display event information using data from the event creation fields. I have already successfully created the widget and got it to display the event’s name. However, it seems impossible to me for it to display event’s date instead of date when the event was added. I was hoping to simply replace the block used in the widget yet I’ve been unable to find it. Please tell me whether displaying upcoming events the way I want it to work is possible.
    Cheers

Hi @wateusz, apologies. I responded previously regarding release 6.0.4, which could have fixed some issues regarding what you’re experiencing here. I thought it had already resolved some of your issues.

It seems impossible to me for it to display event’s date instead of date when the event was added. I was hoping to simply replace the block used in the widget yet I’ve been unable to find it. Please tell me whether displaying upcoming events the way I want them to work is possible.

I see, we do not have this feature/option where you could replace the event details or date and sort it out by date created. I forgot to mention that we partially support FSE. Perhaps this will be possible in the future, but for now, it is impossible to do this with our plugin.

Although you can do a custom development for this using our REST API. Note that we provide limited support for customization.

See the URL here to learn more about our REST API:
