Event calendar

  • Hi all,
    I was wondering if there was an event calendar plugin to which site members can upload their events. It should take into account the member’s privilege so the moderator can choose to hold event listings for moderation before they are added to the calendar. The calendar layout should be clear and structured.     It will need to be integrated on a page.

    I have searched the plugin directory but nothing really fits the bill. The closest was this plugin https://www.kieranoshea.com/calendar but it fails a few functions to be really usable to me.

    I am by no means an html or php wizard so my knowledge goes as far as customizing the obvious. The blog onto which it will need to go is https://www.lizzydesign.org.

    I will be grateful to anyone who can point me in the right direction. Some free plugin would be nice but I would consider pointers to a charged one if it really would fit the bill.

    As I didn’t find an approriate plugin I just made a page with all the calender months on it. I made the basic structure in dreamwearver and just copy and past. I have made a form page which will actually mail me the HTML code with all the fields in place so I just copy that into the correct day in dreamweaver and then copy and past everything back into wordpress. User won’t know the difference. For me however it would be nice if there was a plugin which would allow me to just click allow or block listing and save me the copy and pasting. I bought me a book of PHP and MySQL. Maybe in the future I’ll right my own plugin. I let you know if I do.

    I am now using EventCalendar3. It works by you writing a post in an Events category and then scheduling it. I would think that if you would allow your users to blog my mail, you might be able to review the post and actually schedule the event for them.
