• Hi,

Until 6.0 I used to show the Event Calendar Widget (now called legacy widget) in my footer at every page of my website ceroc.nl. I had to remove it after “upgrading” to 6.0, as it looks absolutly awful. Please advise me on an alternative.

    Kind regards,

    Bart

Same here and I put a request in through the EMPro Support forum too. The Devs are working on it. Rather than remove the terrific widget calendar, you can roll the version back for now. For years, I’ve successfully used: “WP Rollback” …from the WP Plugin Directory. (Always make a back up before making changes like this.)

same for me, had to remove it as it’s completely destroyed :-(((

You can try the latest EM version 6.1 (with EM Dev version 6.1.0.1)

No difference with the latest version.

I’ve tried a simple page with just the shortcode [events_calendar] under the Twenty Twenty Two and the Astra theme. Both produce a rubbish page starting with two massive arrows pointing left and right. Totally useless…

The Events Calendar widget needs to be in a smaller font.
Surely that’s not hard to change.

If you wish to revert to the original concise mini calendar widget, paid support recommended doing this:

    PATH:

    your website

    public_html

    wp-content

    themes

    theme-child

    create new:

    “plugins” folder

    “events-manager”
    “templates”
->add copy in version 5 file:
    “calendar-small.php”
