• I have several events which import from a Google calendar. Each of them import a piece of HTML that is in the event. The purpose of which is so when you view the event you also see the embedded Google form to sign up for the event.

This has worked since I started using this plugin months ago, but now it is altering the information from Google. The html imports and stays in the event for about an hour. Then the html is overwritten with the phrase Loading… which comes from when the form is loading. Nothing has changed on our forms and our website has remained with the same plugins for a long time. This was just a very sudden change. Is there any reason the plugin would be altering the information in the event description? And how can this be fixed?

  • Hi,

Our plugin imports all the information and details from the source calendar and do not make any changes, if there is a issue with the form, then it would be best to contact Google support regarding this issue.

    Thanks,
    Ben

Hi, what I mean is that once the information is imported from google, it shows on my event through your plugin. After about an hour, the data listed on the event (not google) changes. At this point, I am unable to make any changes to events through all-in-one that are not overwritten within an hours time.

    Please advise.

In fact, any change I make on my website’s side to events imported through Google calendar are not sticking. They are being immediately overwritten. Are there certain file permission levels expected for this plugin to work properly?

Our calendar recognizes events that are imported as being “owned” by someone else.
Therefore, when the manual/automatic update occurs, it’s always going to overwrite the existing events. This ensures you are importing any updates, edited events or new events that have been added by the “owner.”

As a workaround (if you want your own images that you added to stay, etc.) you can add a feed, delete the feed, and select “Keep Events” when prompted. Now the calendar will recognize these events as being “owned” by you.
Unfortunately, this means that you will no longer receive updated events since you are no longer subscribed to the feed.

We have a “Preserve changes made to events retrieved from feeds” option with which it is possible to save the changes, but is only available in the Hosted Hub calendar.
