did you try option at Events > Settings > General > Performance Optimization > Use WordPress thumbnails

yoluca, it’s helpful if you size all your images to the same dimensions (or at least square) before you upload.

The demo looks like they have added an HTML <hr> (that’s a horizontal rule) tag as a row separator in the table.

Alternately, you could add some CSS to your table row code for formatting, like this:
<tr style="border-top: 1px solid #000; padding:5px">

Change this code in ‘FORMATTING > EVENT TABLE OPTIONS > Default event list format’ change <tr> to the code above.
