Event League & Season is removed after update

    I have added all of the games for my team for this coming season. (A college hockey site) Now as I have game time changes come in, I edit each game with the correct time.

    But I notice that anytime I make an update to an individual event, the League & Season fields get removed. So I then have to go in to quick edit and re-add the current league and season.

    One thing I have noticed is that when I originally created the event, The League and Season was an option on the right side of the screen. But when I go back in to that event, those fields are no longer showing up. Even more strange is that for SOME events, those fields are present… But for most, those fields are missing.

    So something goofy is going on here. Has anyone had this type of behavior? I am using the free version of SportsPress 2.7.8

    Hi there!

    Thanks for reaching out.

    Do you have friendly events in your site? Friendly events have no leagues/seasons (and that’s a fix that got implemented in the most recent versions).

    If that isn’t the case, then you can check if you have other plugins in your site. Try disabling them all, as one of them could be removing the league/season metabox.

    Ah that makes sense! I am using “Friendly” game for non-conference games. I have not made changes to the schedule since last season. So it would make sense that if that had changed recently I would not have noticed.

    Oh, that’s it, then. You can use a separate competition for non-conference games, though. Or maybe you can use different event outcomes if you don’t want them to count towards your league table wins.

    For example, instead of just win/draw/loss, you’d have win/non-conferece win/draw/non-conference draw/loss/non-conference loss
