event link does not work in 2.5.10 and 2.5.11

additional information:
the link that the button points to, does not work and looks like that:
https://www.my-website.xy/event/my-event-title/?instance_id=2918
whereas the permalink to the event shown in the backend does work:
https://www.my-website.xy/event/my-event-title/

by following the instructions on https://gist.github.com/lukaspawlik/64872268a38ef5ef93c2
i could manage to solve the problem.
