Event Location Edits Don’t Save

    When the location for an event is edited (I am not using the dropdown option), the change does not “take” when a user clicks “Update.” The event location remains the same (with same associated location ID).

    It is possible to edit the text of a location name under “Locations,” but this affects all events with that location/location ID.

    I am running 2.0.27, but noticed this happening in 2.0.23 as well – thought maybe a change noted in 2.0.25 would fix this but it is still happening.

    Although it works here, I did some changes in the dev-version. Would you mind trying out that one? You can download it at https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/events-made-easy/advanced/

    Hi Franky – Sorry for slow reply. I have upgraded to 2.0.28 but still have this behavior.
    A few other bits of info:
    – This is a multi-site install
    – Location changes DO save when using the location drop-down option

    I’m not able to reproduce your problem at all here. Maybe you have some javascript problems, so check your browser console for errors and also your webserver logfiles.
    Also make sure no caching plugin is interfering.

    I am having the same problem. When I try to change the location on an existing event, bot single events or those that are part of a recurrence, the forms submits without error but the location does not update.

    Can I update this manually in the database? I have several events with users booked and the only option I can come up with is to delete and recreate.

    I tried an existing event without location and added one: worked ok.
    Then tried to edit the locationn for the event by changing the location name/address while editing the event: worked too.
    So seems to be working as expected. Are you using the latest version? Or maybe using location dropdown? Any errors in the browser console or the webserver logfiles?
