Event Manager not displaying success message for anonymous submissions

    I installed Events Manager 5.5.2 and have set up anonymous bookings. Everything seems to work fine except when the user submits the booking the event submission form is redisplayed instead of the success message (or if the success message IS displayed, it happens so fast I can’t see it and it’s overwritten by the submission form)

    This happens regardless of o/s or browser I am using.

    In my settings for the plugin I selected No for “Show form again?”. the submission page on my site contains nothing but the shortcode [event_form]

    Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong, please and thanks?

  • Does it make any difference if you edit the capabilities to allow publishing immediately?

    i added
    publish_events
    publish_recurring_events
    publish_locations

    and submitted a new event. there as no message, it just displayed the event form again. of course the event did show up immediately on the calendar, and the administrator email got a message saying an event has been published.

    What about if you do the same thing again, but with the form set not to show after submission?

    I have the same problem, but only with IE. Under Chrome or FF it’s fine. So it seems to be an IE-Problem ?

    I never figured out specifically what was causing the problem. I ended up completely uninstalling, then re-installing EM 5.5.3. I gradually added all of my modifications but was never able to reproduce the problem. The success msg is showing up properly for me now.

    that’s the same thing that happened to me. i had this problem on a test server but when i moved to a new server the problem went away.
