    Hello

I have a question about the event manager plugin.
When there is not an event for the plugin to display the plugin displays the content from the footer.
So essentially the content from the footer gets pushed up, but when an event is created then display the footer moves back down where it is supposed to be.

    why would this happen?

what do you have in your events page content? It seems like you have some bad HTML in there somewhere, which could be the cause for your messed up layout.

There is not an event enter so there shouldn’t be anything there. When there is not any event displayed the footer gets pushed up .

But when I create an event the footer drops down and the event is displayed correctly.

It only shows incorrectly when there is not an event .

did you check the templates of your events list page eg. /events ? also, are you using any child theme or custom templates?

yes i did and i am using an custom theme.

Does it work with the default WP theme? More importantly, do you see that table appear with a default theme below your footer?

have you tried overriding our template files at all? e.g. is there a plugins/events-manager folder in your theme? If so try renaming that.

yes there is a plugin events-manager folder in my theme

I also tried to rename it

I think you have a modified template or custom formatting somewhere that’s coded badly.

Looking at your source code I can see many times you have paragraph tags between table tags. They shouldn’t be there. You also seem to have several closing div tags without matching opening div tags. That will cause problems.

If you switch to the default theme does this solve the problem?

Have you made any edits to Events > Settings > Formatting?

can you show me where the div issue is please?

can I know what EM template did you modified? and maybe you can start checking on that template.

Just the single-event.php. But that template is not used here.

I’m guessing the HTML error like some tag is not closed in the formatting tab.
I believe that is where the error is .

    Am I correct?

What errors are you getting where we can narrow it down ?

I used the validator to see and I went through all errors and nothing fixed it .

I see, maybe you can try to delete or rename your single-event.php to single-event-backup.php

and then re-copy your theme single.php and then rename it again to single-event.php

Even though I’m not using the single template here on this page . Actually all the HTML is coming from the formatting tab , the page editor, and the footer .

If you look at source code the footer code is red like something is wrong or missing a tag or something I believe that is the problem.
