    Hi there,

I recently installed your plugin in order to activate Facebook Conversion API.

The installation was pretty smooth and for a few days, things seemed to work just fine.

I now see a message on my Facebook Events page that says:

“ViewContent Event Missing Some Deduplication Parameters”

That means that Facebook counts this event twice right?

    Does anyone else have this?

    Thank you

    Hi there,

Thank you very much for your response.

I followed the troubleshooting process you describe in your video, and during my testing event, I noticed 2 things.

    1) The pageview event has a deduplicate label next to it which means that Facebook recognises it as a deduplicate event. (Then why do I get this message on diagnostics?)

    2) The browser’s event didn’t have an ID attached to them at all.

In your example, I could see that both the server and the browser events had an ID parameter that for the case of the duplicated events was the same.

I am not sure if I am doing something wrong here…

Are there any steps I could follow from here to troubleshoot even more?

    Thank you.

    Best,

The problem is that you have the Facebook pixel installed by something else, not just our plugin. This can create all sort of issues, including events with no deduplication parameters.

So you need to remove that extra pixel install.

Thank you very much for your response!

I believe that was the problem indeed. I had manually injected the script into the header of the website. I removed it now and have it installed through the plugin alone.

I run some test events and the results already look much better with all the events have a unique ID and some of them (the deduplicated ones) have the same.

I will monitor the issue for a while.

    Thank you once again.

    Best,
