Eric3D,
There will be a blog post shortly of what to expect. Some of the major changes are:
- Responsive fullCalendar, along with a general overhaul of its appearance
- Default templates are now ‘split up’ so that there is less duplication of code. This means its easier to over-ride a specific part of the template, and have that apply to all the event pages (events page, events at venue, events in a category etc),
- ‘Theme compatibility’ mode which can be enabled, in which the plug-in ‘does more’ to ensure compatibility with the current theme. Traditionally, the plug-in has tried to be very ‘light’ on the front-end, and this continues by default.
- Event list widget will add options to display events in an ‘interval’ – e.g. ‘Events this week’, ‘Events this month’, rather than just future events.
- Overhaul of how venue maps are displayed – the aim here is to support interactions with the map (and support, for example, clusters)
They’re just off the top of my head ??
3.0.0 is now pencilled in for a January release.
