Event Page Breaking – Permalink Override?

  • Hello.

    We love the plugin and it meets 100% of our needs. However, we are experiencing a theme conflict due to our theme not working well with Custom Post types (developer: WPZoom). Specifically the theme’s ‘breadcrumbs’ functionality is causing all event pages to not display when any event is clicked in the calendar.

    I really need to resolve this. Can anyone provide some guidance on how to either:

    1) Modify the functions.php file for the theme to fix the problem (I accept that we will need to modify it again if the theme is updated).

    or

    2) Manually modify the permalink for each event so that I can define my own URL instead of allowing the plugin to display the event page. This is more work, but better than nothing.

    …or is there some other solution?

  • Yes, I too am getting this error. The event has a path, but the widget has “/?instance_id=9” after the path. No one can browse to the event.

    WordPress: 3.8.3 Event Cal: 2.0.6 (clean install of each)

    i couldn’t wait for a resolution for this. I moved to The Events Calendar plugin and it worked out of the box.
