Event-permalinks with year of event-date?

mydomain.com/event/2017/10/26/concert-band
mydomain.com/event/2017/10/26/concert-band-1
mydomain.com/event/2017/10/26/concert-band-2

So the numbers should not be there.

Yes, when I don’t have permalinks with year, month and day I get this with equal naming of several similar events:

mydomain.com/event/concert-band
mydomain.com/event/concert-band-1
mydomain.com/event/concert-band-2

Even with the mentioned plugin I get the numbering:

mydomain.com/event/2017/10/26/concert-band
mydomain.com/event/2017/10/27/concert-band-1
mydomain.com/event/2017/10/28/concert-band-2

But I would like to get this:

mydomain.com/event/2017/10/26/concert-band
mydomain.com/event/2017/10/27/concert-band
mydomain.com/event/2017/10/28/concert-band

Seems, that it is not possible.

No, that’s not possible because WordPress needs the slug for each event / post / page to be unique.

A workaround would be for you to manually edit the permalink on the Add / Edit Event page to read concert-band-2017, etc.
