Event Plugin, Removing Sidebar, Help with Icon Column

For the Events Calendar plugin – there is no reason why it should not be working. Can you tell me what functionality is failing so we can look into this further? You can also post on the plugin’s support board to see if someone over there can point out what may be wrong.

To completely remove sidebars from pages, go to Appearance > Customize > Pages and turn off the sidebar.

For the News page excerpt – simply edit the page and add an excerpt. See this screenshot for help: https://prntscr.com/ctrlbr

So I deleted the plugin and reinstalled it, and that seemed to help a lot of the issues. One I do have is that on https://www.millsgradenglish.org/events/month/ it says “Archives” in the header. Not sure why because the page isn’t named “Archives”. I don’t have any pages named “Archives”. And then for each actual event, those pages say “Post ID:0” in the header. Is that a theme issue or a plugin issue?

For the sidebar, I did do that, but it’s only this page that still shows it https://www.millsgradenglish.org/news/. (It went away on the events page once I reinstalled the plugin.) Any reason why that page wouldn’t remove the sidebar?

Additional questions:
Can I change the color of the font in the header images? A lot of my images are light so the white doesn’t work.
Can I change the size of the header image on the home page? I’d like to increase the height.

I am sorry for the delayed response.

To remove the sidebar from the Blog pages, please go to Appearance > Customize > Blog Feed and turn off the sidebar.

You can use some custom CSS to change the color of the text on the header images.

For the events plugin – I will have to test the theme with the plugin to be sure where the problem lies. Please give me a week to get back to you. Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause you.

However, I’m still having trouble with my “news” page.
1. There is still a sidebar. Going into Appearance > Customize > Blog Feed doesn’t give me the option to turnoff the sidebar. I have gone into Appearance > Customize > Pages and done so, but it still shows.
2. Even though I’ve clicked “Featured Image” for Post Page Banner, there is no image showing.
3. On the homepage, in the 4 columns section, there is no description. When I go into the Pages section to edit, there is no “excerpt” box to add one. So how do I add it?
