Event/regex for woocommerce purchase?

    Hi Thomas,

    Thanks for the plugin. You have simplified the less-than-simple.

    Q: Followed your setup guide for woocommerce enhanced and everything seems to be registering except for purchases themselves, which I’d like to have for value tracking in PPC campaigns.

    Is one of the items in the regex string entered in tag manager intended to fire on purchase complete? Or am I barking up the wrong tree here?

    If needed there’s a product with a $0.00 value to complete test purchases and get to the order received page, or use the bank transfer option.

    Normally I’d troubleshoot this myself but I’m not sure what to look for.

    Appreciate any help you can provide.

    Hi,

    Although there is a gtm4wp.orderCompletedEEC event on the checkout page, there is no mention of this event in the setup guide since it is not needed by default.

    If you do not see any transaction in the Sales Performance report that means there is another issue.

    Could you check it please for me?

    Hi Thomas,

    The transactions are there. But now I’m confused..I thought the point of using GTM to deploy ecommerce analytics was to leverage the data layer and pull out granular data to analyse.

    I feel like I’m missing a part of the big picture here :/

    Hi,

    Order data on the order received page is transmitted to GA using the GA pageview tag if you have setup your container according to the official setup guide.

    Thus, you will get your granular data but not using an event ??
