• I have searched the WP plugin area as well as Google for a considerable amount of time looking for a plugin so I can start a webinar registration area. For example, a visitor goes to my webinar page and registers with specific info for an upcoming webinar.

The only plugin that I found that may have had the capability is wp-eventmanager but it’s development has not continued and was not even stable on 2.2.

Any ideas on how I can make this happen would be greatly appreciated.

  • +1 looking forward to release and can offer a site we are developing for beta application. contact me when ready and we can discuss further.

There will be some kind of IP logging.
This makes the fight againt spam easier and the admin will have a way to spot “fraud”.

Matthewp, as soon I feel anything is close to beta I will let you know, and we would like you guys to test the plugin. That would excelent.

How is your plugin developing going on?
Here’s one more user who is waiting for this plugin to come available.

    Nice to hear ??

The deadline was on friday, but we have used a longer time on getting jQuery to work with jQuery UI in WordPress (Without removing any bundled jQuery (what other plugins may relay on)).

That seems to be working now and the drag’n’drop works nicely.
The manage section should be working, not tested because the DB layout is being designed right now.

So over all its looking good, its just the soon to come holiday that are time consuming right now ??

We had hope to enter the plugin contest, but it is unreachable right now.

As soon as a beta is ready you guys will know.

My fellow plugin author, Morten, has been creative. He drew a sketch of the DB structure. Take a look, give some feedback.

Image of DB structure (For now anyway).

Hope it make sense – I’m not great at drawing. Don’t think I’ve been drawing in hand, since I was like 8 years old ??

wouldnt you need some kind of ‘description’ field in event table ?

You mean a description of the event and such?
Its possible to insert plain text via the forms table.
You could just put one at the top and have the input fields underneath.

If you want it to be possible to pull the description seperately, then we would need a field in the event table.

Lets see if it is necessary.

    I hope I made sence ??

Morten just reminded me, that when you have build the from.
You create a post or page, push the eventreg icon and select the form you just build.
So the description is written in the post.

But again if you need to pull only the description, we would need a field for that.

Just a thought, is it possible to integrate a payment processor into this so that they can register and pay for the event all in one form?

Right now I am on vacation in Luxembourg ??
Thanks to the friendly neighbor who is sharing his or hers WiFi.

Payment would be a interesting feature, definitely a version 2 candidate.

Could you describe how the payment work, if you would decide?

    Vacation greetings
    Thomas

ah yeah, of course, the description in post/page should be enough

I was also on vacation break, in norway, beautiful country with incredible nature, worth visiting ??

    greets!

I love the concept of this plugin. I am working on personal website for artists and would love the opportunity to have people sign-up for events .

    5. Export of attending people (.csv)

it would be great to include the attendees email in there as well.

    6. E-mail – Telling people what they signed up for and a link for “de-registering”

Maybe make the email customizable so a payment link to make a payment through an external processor like pay-pal..

Thanks a bunch.. When do you think the beta version will be released? I would be happy to be one of the testsers. ??

One thing to add.. This is a fantastic plugin for managing of the actual events..

    Hi, Brian
The e-mails would definitely be in the export, the plan was to export everything. The export feature can be further developed if necessary.
Again the plan is, to make the e-mails send to user 100% customable.
We though about making a textarea with some sort of quicktags for the “sender’s name”, “recipient name” etc. you get the picture.

The plugin is very close to a beta. Morten who is the main coder is working hard and the drag and drop has been a little more difficult than we thought. We think we found a nice solution to it now.
My guess is in this week, but with out any guaranty ??

I’ll be looking in to the gigs-calender. Morten and I have been talking about some kind of relation to a calender.

I am going to make a page dedicated to this plugin soon, I’ll post any changes here.

Enjoy the summer ?? in Denmark the sun is shining and 30 Celsius (hot in Denmark) ??
