Event Results Not Showing While Using The Latest Results Element

  • I made a change to an event and lost the results showing on the home page. I’m wondering if there is something I could’ve done that affected the Latest Results element. (obviously, right?) I recently updated to 1.8.8. Though on the development site it is still working with the new update.

    Everything is the same in terms of settings, plugins, etc…

    Any idea as to what is going on would be helpful. Your time is appreciated.

  • GottaGetEm Hello, I have had similar experiences, I believe that there are still problems with the link database. My advice is that you back it manually, in case you happen worse problems.

    On the development site the score shows without a problem. On the actual site and new hosting the score went out the window.

    I just want to know what MAY have caused this to happen.

    Hello, sorry for not answering earlier. Well I do daily backups of the database, and that at some point, to enter or change any data, sometimes disappearing others.

    I have seen the video a couple of times actually. Our configuration is set up correctly. It was working fine for a week or so and then BOOM, Gone.

    There is another fellow with the same problem in a newer post.

    I fixed it on my site, the problem was I deleted all of the Event Result variables and created my own within the “Ice Hockey” setup, so I think the SportsPress plugin was looking for the default variable instead of the one i re-created.

    I went to SportsPress->Settings->General and changed my Sport from “Ice Hockey” to “Custom”. Then I saved, went back and changed “Custom” back to “Ice Hockey” and saved it. It keeps all the custom variables you have set up, but it restored the defaults also.

    The way I got it to work was keeping the SportsPress created “Default” variable for goals. You can change the Label if you want, but don’t changed the variable name. See if that works for you.
