Event Results Sorting

  • I’m using Rookie theme with Golf. All Rounds are Player vs Player. Results are entered for each Player for each Round as a Stableford Score (although the problem exists with any kind of scoring).

    When the results are displayed there are two problems:

    The heading above the Players’ names is “Team”, not “Players”, and the results are always sorted alphabetically according to the Players’ names, regardless of the Stableford Points or the sequence of entered results. I need this sorted by Stableford Points descending.

    Surely it can’t be difficult. All I’m asking is, how do I sort Results for a single Event so that when that Event is displayed the Results pane shows the Players ranked in order according to their score?

    The example above should show:

    Tiger Woods 35
    Justin Rose 34
    Jack Nicklaus 33
    Tommy Fleetwood 33

    I’m trying to figure out how to do this myself. their support sucks

    Hi @pilam ,

    To change the Team to Player go to SportsPress->Settings->Text and change the correspondant field.

    To change the ranking order you should go to SportsPress->Configure->Table Columns and make sure that the Total field is the only ranking criteria in DESC mode.

    what about result tables? the instructions above are for league tables. how can we sort the results table?

    How do you create the “Result Table”? You don’t use a “League Table” for that?

    Not for specific results of an event no…am I suppose to?

    When I create an event, it has a results table shortcode for that specific event. I want to know how I can sort that table.

    Ok, I think I understand what you mean. Unfortunately the Players at the Result Table of an Event are sorted by Name by default.
