Event search form not translated

My site’s in English and French. The English events page is at https://www-test.pphsn.net/events/ and the French one’s at https://www-test.pphsn.net/a-l-agenda/?lang=fr; I translated it with WPML. I also have the ‘Events Manager and WPML Compatibility’ plugin installed. The search form is displayed in English, not French. I am curious if there is some tricky I am missing here, because as far as I know this plugin is mostly already translated into French, so I would assume the search form text labels would be, too.
I did also go into WPML’s string translation and I translated the relevant search form text label strings… but it didn’t help.
