event search not working with v6

    Hi,

    I used to have a search form to allow event search by category and by place (town, country). With v6 those options have disappeared and the search doesn’t show any event or any other message.

    I still have the following options in the search settings :

    display advanced fields : yes;
    hide : no;
    show categories : yes;
    show countries : yes…

    I use a wordpress 6.0.1 multisite.

    I see what you mean now actually, I’ll inform the devs about it. 6.0 was a big redesign, so the fields are now hidden to allow more space, if you select ‘yes’ for the hide fields option it’ll show up as a clickable popup, for now.

    I realised I forgot to mention the search don’t work at all. Even when I enter the name of one the words of the title of one event that was created on the same subsite, i get the message ” no result found”.

    I have the same issue as you. You’re right, it’s not searching the title field. On your site, it returns zero results if you search for “Atelier bases de la géomancie” or even just “atelier”.

    There are actually two issues. One is that has always been there i I haven’t managed to fix yet (hoping to get help from a programmer some day) : the events hosted on another subsite never appeared on the search (that’s what happens with most events actually listed).

    But the search with event hosted on the same site like “Le mystère Mithra” and “Viso Apéro celtique ” was previously working (OK with popup though i would have preferred no popup)

    thanks Angelo for your answer. I selected ‘yes’ for the hide fields option.

    Please note that the search popup lacks internal scrollbar that would be very useful to select far away options and validate button.

    the categroy and place search work with the popup, but the word search still don’t work;

    it actually seams to work now with the events hosted on the same subsite only, but that’s another and ancient problem…
