So I had to download and upload the event tickets update for the 5.6.0.1 version and in the process it deactivated the event tickets plus (version 5.7.0.1) and when I go to re-activate it I get this error.

I did just realize the free plug in is not tested with the current version of wordpress, which is what I am on. You guys just updated 2hrs ago, so, not sure what to do from here.

This seems to be a problem with the upload that particular file is included on all plugins. Do you mind downloading the ZIP manually and uploading again?

What can happen is that when the plugin Unzipped it probably didn’t create that file properly.

That happens from time to time, and there isn’t much to be done there other than removing the the plugin and re-installing.

Let me know if that fixes the problem.

Event Tickets is compatible with the latest version of WordPress, we just didn’t update the label. Doing it now.

@bordoni, thanks for the reply, but that did not work and the plus keeps giving me that fatal error. Could this be on the plus side or the free version side?

Never mind, I downloaded both the free version and the plus version and re-uploaded them replacing the old ones and all is good now. Thanks @bordoni for the assistance and pointing me in the right direction.

    Cheers!

I am super glad that fixed the the issue.

I would love to try to have the code prevent the loading if that was the case to avoid fatals and such, but the way this fails is really low level for us to catch the problem.
