I am experiencing a problem with the Event Tickets plugin. When I am on the Attendees page and click “Export” it simply opens a new page over and over. Never loads a report, never gives the option to download an actual file, never offers a “save as” option. Export button simply opens a new attendee page over and over.

I have already tried to be in touch about this on a previous thread and was sent an email that said,
“Upon checking, the issue should now be resolved. Please update your plugins to the latest versions to apply the fix.” BUT I am already using the latest plugin version, and clearly the issue is NOT resolved as I tried to Export again this morning to no avail.

I need to be able to download the CSV in order to manage attendees.

I have not paid for the Premium version yet — is the Export version only available with the paid version?

    Currently running…
    PHP: 7.4.33.5
    WordPress 6.5.3
    Theme: OceanWP theme with Elementor
    Event Tickets 5.10.0
    Events Calendar 6.5.0

    Hi @loveinclittleton ,

    Thank you for reaching out.

The ability to download attendees to a CSV file is shipped with Event Tickets (so no need for Event Tickets Plus for this functionality).

When you click on ‘Export’, it doesn’t really supposed to open a new tab or open up a report screen. Rather, it downloads a file into your computer’s downloads folder. That said, have you checked your browser’s download history (see below) for the downloaded files (it should have “attendees.csv” in its filename)?

Some browser extensions, plugins or configuration could have blocked the download. Have you tried using a different browser to isolate the situation?

Thanks for the quick reply! I have checked download history on Google Chrome. CSV file never downloads at all.

I have tried using a different browser (Microsoft Edge). Same problem with the plugin. So I do not assume a browser problem. I have exported CSV files multiple times from other browser-based software and have zero issues getting the downloads.

I, too, am confused by why new tabs keep opening. I didn’t expect that either! I expected, as you mentioned, that a file would automatically download. I’ve attached screenshots so you can see what I’m experiencing.

Choose Export — Opens a new tab — Select all attendees & choose export — Opens another new tab and still NO downloads occurring

I noticed this issue has been discussed in other support threads. Not sure if others are still experiencing this issue, but I don’t see that the recent plugin update fixed this issue….

    Hi @loveinclittleton

The problem with exporting attendees from the global attendees’ table under Tickets > Attendees has been identified as a bug. A bug report for this issue has been created and sent to our development team. They will work on resolving the issue and providing a fix soon.

We currently don’t have an estimated time for the fix. However, I’ve linked this ticket to the bug report so that you can receive a notification as soon as the fix is available.

Meanwhile, you can continue to use event-specific attendees export functionality,

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding in this regard.

    Dear Support / @d0153

I am encountering the exact same problem as well. Unfortunately, exporting the attendees for management purposes is not currently an option.

I have been closely monitoring this support thread and I am aware that @frankremmy submitted an internal ticket GTRIA-1269 to address the same issue approximately one month and three days ago. Can you confirm if the issue has been resolved?

Regrettably, as a paying customer, I find this situation disappointing. I am curious about the number of individuals required to bring attention to this issue. We made the purchase of the software with the sincere belief that it would assist us in meeting our needs, based on the available features. Can you do something about this? I don’t have the resources or time to download over 100 records and put them together from different files.

    Hi @apache2285 ,

I know you are contacting support here to verify if/when they will resolve this bug. It’s a problem, to be sure!

I did find a workaround they never mentioned to me. Go to The Events Calendar plugin and “View” an individual event. Scroll down within the event until you see the “Tickets” section (which is populated by the Event Tickets plugin) and choose “View Attendees.” This will create an attendee list that looks a lot like the Attendee screen on Event Tickets menu (with the faulty export button). I have found this Export button actually downloads a CSV report.

Hope this helps while they are working to fix the larger bug!

    Hi @apache2285

I’m glad to hear that it worked for you. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to begin a new thread and we’ll be happy to assist you. This allows us to track topics/issues efficiently and follow the WordPress Forum Guidelines.

I have the exact same issue. While someone had mention a work around, I am want this Event Tickets to be totally independent from other plugins by Events Calendar. Additionally, I have a client that likes to keep thing simple as to not overwhelm her with to much stuff to look through.

So I am hoping for your team to resolve this soon.

This is a major bug and should be fixed as a priority. It is a core feature of the plugin and as a paid user i expect the core features to work. Based on this support thread you have had more than enough time to fix this bug, however it still appears to be present.

Please provide an ETA for a fix.

We have this problem too. Please provide a fix or workaround. It’s never been a problem to download a CSV list of attendees from a single event. But when we go to Tickets –> Attendees and select several months of class participants’ contact information across multiple events… then you click “Export” … new tabs keep opening. There’s no CSV file getting downloaded. Have tried multiple browsers. Plug-ins are all up to date.

I did compare URLs for the working “export” from a single event vs. export of attendees across multiple events. Here’s the working export URL from a single event:

    https://mywebsite.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=tribe_events&page=tickets-attendees&event_id=36515&attendees_csv=1&attendees_csv_nonce=d3f2968843

Here’s the NON-WORKING URL from attempt to export attendees across multiple events:

    https://mywebsite.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=tec-tickets-attendees&attendees_csv=1&attendees_csv_nonce=d3f2968843

Please let us know if there is a plan to fix this — we have over 10,000 attendees from running multiple years of classes at our business and would like an easy way to utilize contact information, etc. THANKS!

    Hi all,

Upon checking the ticket [ET-2094], it is currently in progress.

While we don’t have an ETA, you’ll get notified through this thread once there is an update and fix.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

We are happy to inform you that the issue has been resolved in the latest plugin release. We recommend updating your plugins to benefit from this fix. As always, please remember to create a backup of your site before proceeding with the update.

Hi – excited to receive news the issue was resolved, but after updating plug-in, we still receive errors when trying to export just a dozen or so attendees (Tickets –> Attendees, select a dozen attendees, then click “export”).

A new tab opens, takes 25-30 seconds with blank screen, then we get this error:

There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

No email received with additional instructions. We checked our wordpress email inbox.

We’ve used Event Tickets plug-in for years for class registrations and have 10,347 items (tickets) of historical data. Does the plug-in fail with this amount of data to search? We’re only selecting 10-12 tickets to export, and the site barfs… what would happen if we wanted to export the last 3 months of tickets (a couple hundred items)?

What is the best way to troubleshoot this? Any way to get on a support call with someone instead of long/tedious screen capturing and email exchanges? THANKS! -Dan at Higher Fire in San Jose, CA.

Hello, I am having the same issue and have updated all of the plugins. My issue is a bit different though – it only happens with non-admin users. Does anyone have a solution for that?
