I am experiencing a problem with the Event Tickets plugin. When I am on the Attendees page and click “Export” it simply opens a new page over and over. Never loads a report, never gives the option to download an actual file, never offers a “save as” option. Export button simply opens a new attendee page over and over.

I have already tried to be in touch about this on a previous thread and was sent an email that said,
“Upon checking, the issue should now be resolved. Please update your plugins to the latest versions to apply the fix.” BUT I am already using the latest plugin version, and clearly the issue is NOT resolved as I tried to Export again this morning to no avail.

I need to be able to download the CSV in order to manage attendees.

I have not paid for the Premium version yet — is the Export version only available with the paid version?

    Currently running…
    PHP: 7.4.33.5
    WordPress 6.5.3
    Theme: OceanWP theme with Elementor
    Event Tickets 5.10.0
    Events Calendar 6.5.0

  • @mastersofwp I am having the same exact issue with a client and literally just an hour ago figured out the same problem. She was telling us that she couldn’t export attendees (even on the single event page) but when I tested it, I could export them just fine. Eventually I figured out that the discrepenacy was coming from the user role differences but I haven’t been able to resolve it. I’ve tried modifying the capabilities of the editor as suggested here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/export-attendees-list/ with this documentation page as a reference: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/admin-roles-and-permissions/ but to no avail. While we are awaiting this fix, I set our client to Administrator (it’s her site anyway) but obviously we would like to minimize the amount of time where she may accidentally break something to do excessive capabilities. Editors NEED to be able to export attendee lists! Looking into the documentation I’m not sure where this bug is coming from because the function seems to be checking for the user capability: 'edit_others_posts' which all editors have by default.

We are using the latest versions of the plugins and wordpress. This needs to be addressed ASAP. We already had to teach her the workaround to export the attendees after the “email attendees list” button broke (which still hasn’t been fixed) and she is getting very frustrated at not being able to do this simple task.

    Thank you for your assistance.

I can confirm that Editor Users cannot export Attendees for a single event. Administrators can. Editors used to be able to do this. I don’t want to give my clients Administrator access, but I do want them to be able to download their Event Attendees. Can this be looked into?

Same here. Editor users (or any other user role than admin) cannot export attendees at all. We absolutely cannot give everyone admin access, this needs to be fixed!

Chiming in to say, I have the same issue for Editors. Admin users can download just fine.

Hello – we’re still unable to export multiple attendees to CSV file, from TICKETS –> ATTENDEES.

I’m logged in as an administrator (have administrator role associated with my user). We have no problems exporting attendees from a single event.

What is the best way forward for my business to get this much-needed feature working at our site?

We’re using Event Tickets Version 5.13.4, Event Tickets Plus Version 6.0.4 — happy to provide other plug-in info or whatever might be useful. Thanks! -Dan at Higher Fire in San Jose, CA.

PS. here is the info from up thread:

    <SNIP>

We still receive errors when trying to export just a dozen or so attendees (Tickets –> Attendees, select a dozen attendees, then click “export”).

A new tab opens, takes 25-30 seconds with blank screen, then we get this error:

There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

No email received with additional instructions. We checked our wordpress email inbox.

We’ve used Event Tickets plug-in for years for class registrations and have 10,347 items (tickets) of historical data. Does the plug-in fail with this amount of data to search? We’re only selecting 10-12 tickets to export, and the site barfs… what would happen if we wanted to export the last 3 months of tickets (a couple hundred items)?

What is the best way to troubleshoot this? Any way to get on a support call with someone instead of long/tedious screen capturing and email exchanges? THANKS! -Dan at Higher Fire in San Jose, CA.
