    I ran into several issues with Event Tickets. For events, I want to be able to set $0 additional donation as an option. That works with “Test Donation” gateway, but results in a “silent” error when trying to use Paypal. A PayPal window briefly pops up but then disappears.

    If I set additional donation to a non-zero amount, that’s the amount that goes to PayPal. The price of the ticket does not.

    For example, a ticket is $50 and I added a $25 additional donation. The total is $75. When I click to pay with PayPal, the PayPal window shows $25 as the payment amount.

    I’m glad you reached out. I can certainly help you.

    This issue with the payment gateway was fixed in GiveWP 3.12.2. In this case, you can click on Plugins > Installed Plugins and click to update your plugins. If you do not see an update for it, it’s just the cache. You can navigate to Dashboard > Updates and click on Check Again. It will check for the updates and clear the cache and you’ll be able to update the plugin.

    Before taking any steps for troubleshooting or updating, I highly recommend taking a good backup of the site you can confidently restore from.     I just tried the new version and it does not work still. Now the PayPal button results in a new window popup that shows a spinning lock, but PayPal content never comes up. Venmo and “Debit or Credit Card” buttons do nothing.

    Also on confirmation screen, additional donation shows under “Payment amount”. That is misleading, would be better to call it “Donation Amount”

    I tried creating a new event and a new form for this test. Regular, non-event PayPal payments work fine.
