Event Times Altered after input

  • When I first enter the event beginning time and ending time, they show correctly. When saving to draft or publishing, they change.

    The different times seems to be based on UTC versus our local time. I have verified that our WordPress General Settings time is set correctly (e.g. New York time which is UTC -5 depending on daylight savings time).

    The “new” times shown seem to be 5 hours different from the time I had originally entered. Again, the times would be correct if I enter and publish the first time. The problems occur when saving to draft or editing and then press Update.

  • If you guys can confirm whether the fix @robswaimea suggested worked for you that would help look into the issue. Thanks.

    I meticulously checked for conflicts with other plugins and eventually found the conflict with a plugin we use called Entry Wizard that manages image uploads for our club.

    I contacted the developer of that plugin and she was able to replicate the issue. In her words, “I think Events Manager should be checking the time zone before displaying the time, but it appears that my plugin also should have played nice and reset it when it was done.”

    She has posted an updated version that I will test in the next day or so and will hopefully confirm that the problem is resolved.

    I installed the update to EntryWizard (1.2.11) and the problems with time changes in Event Manager have been resolved.
