We noticed that the times listed on all events on our website are not the same as what’s listed in the backend in each event’s settings. All times displayed on the event pages are 5 hours ahead of what is entered in the backend. If I enter 2:00 p.m. as the start time in the backend, on the front end it says 7:00 p.m. Here is a sample event: https://georgiahistory.com/events/historical-marker-dedication-reverend-c-t-walker/. I checked to make sure the time zone settings in both WordPress general settings and in the events manager plugin settings are set to eastern time and they both are. I can’t say for sure when this problem started but it may have been with the latest WordPress core update. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I had to go ahead and remove the wrong time on the example I sent so I’m sending a different example: https://georgiahistory.com/events/47870/. The time says 11:30 am in the backend and displays as 4:30 p.m.

A few more details. The list view also displays the wrong times (https://georgiahistory.com/media-events/upcoming-events/) but the calendar view (https://georgiahistory.com/media-events/), which uses WP FULL CALENDAR, displays the correct time. Then when you click an event and go to the detail page, it shows the wrong time. As a temporary solution, I am removing the event times by setting them to all-day events, and adding the correct time in the text.

does the option under Events > Settings > General > Admin Tools > Reset Timezones makes any difference?

Same issue and NO that reset button doesn’t solve the issue.
I know its wrong to tag onto someone’s post but it legitimately is the same issue and I have confirmed that the timezone settings are set correctly for WordPress itself and the plugin.

To add to things I have done.
I have removed all events from the dB
I have done a database repair
    I have done database optimization
I have changed the dates and times manually in the dB and it reverts after pressing save in the wordpress backend

    Hello,

Could We perhaps get a screenshot of you settings under: Events > Settings > Formatting > Date/Time? Additionally, Can We know what placeholder you used to display the event date/time on front-end?

    Been almost a week. Anything?

No longer need a response…but someone else might.
I switched to another plugin to solve the problem.

@guynumber6 , What plugin did you switch to? I’m still struggling with this issue.

I might have held out longer had you responded, but it was a week from the first response and then another 5 days after I asked for a response. I had to move on since there wasn’t a response and I needed a resolution.

Thanks. I’m not one of the admins, I’m a fellow user with the same issue.

Ah…didn’t realize that at first. Good call. Yeah, I like this other one. Lots of good stuff. Definitely different.

    Hello,

Sorry for the late response as We had a lot of Tickets that We received last week and this might have been missed out.

Checking the details of the placeholders and it seems to be correct. I couldn’t login in your Website, but the issue might be from the set-up of your formatting on settings page. Events > Settings > Formatting > Date/Time. The placeholder #_EVENTDATES and #_EVENTTIMES are based on what the formatting you put on the said settings page.

I’m having this same exact issue. My WP global timezone settings are correct and the edit and published versions of the post display different times. The .ics file shows the correct and desired time.

I tried to reset the timezone in settings without luck as well.

Happy to hear how this was resolved.

    Thanks in advance…
