event title does not wrap in calendar

  • On other sites, I have used WP Full Calendar and GB Full Calendar with excellent results. I cannot find those plugins currently, so for my new site using the theme “Chaplin”, I am not sure how to fix the display on the events page. The site is still being built, I can send a bypass link for you to see it, but it currently contains the shortcode [events_calendar long_events=1 full=1] (I tried replacing each 1 with a 0, but no change). I did successfully customize the calendar format as found on your support page to get the category color to show (<li style=”background: #_CATEGORYCOLOR; padding:10px”> #_EVENTLINK ), so I suspect adding something to this would enable the needed word wrap?

    Update! I added another multiday event, and the link wrapped, but the 2 weekdays when the event is not happening (It runs Wednesday to Sunday, so nothing on Monday or Tuesday—so those days are very narrow, while the other days are wider, to accommodate the link to the event on 2 lines [but not showing the background category color].)

    if your using the default calendar, you can try something like

    [events_calendar long_events=1 full=1]

    That is the code that I am using. I just installed WP Fullcalendar, which seemed to have fixed the issue on radioactivewastecoalition.org—I had thought it was installed on uujec.net, but I just checked and it was not.
    I am using GB Fullcalendar on lackawannacoalition.net. All 3 are classic themes that do use the block editor.

    If WP Fullcalendar works, we’re set! I’ll check back in when I know.
