    Hi there,

Since updating this plugin, at the same time as the main calendar plugin (Pro version) the [event_rocket_list] shortcode no longer works for us.

We have upcoming events, but the shortcode [event_rocket_list title="Next event" limit="1"] returns:

    NEXT EVENT
There are no upcoming events at this time.

Any tips? Note that the following works fine on the same site:

    [event_embed event="'.$eventslug.'"]
    <h4>Featured event</h4>
    <h2 class="entry-title"><a href="{url}">{title}</a></h2>
    <p class="duration">{start_date} {start_time}</p>
    <p><a class="button" href="{url}">More info</a><a class="button red" href="/events/">See all</a></p>
    [/event_embed]

    Hi Carolina,

Though it should still work, if you are using Events Calendar PRO you should consider that shortcode to be deprecated. Instead, please switch to [tribe_events_list] which ships with Events Calendar PRO itself ??

    I hope that helps!

I concur that event_rocket_list seems to be broken now. I had [event_rocket_list category=”education” title=”Upcoming Education Sessions”] which did not filter on category (was showing all events). Switch to tribe_events_list fixed my problem.

I should have mentioned that there were no upcoming events, which may be a corner case.

It should still work (and does for me when I test locally, regardless of whether Events Calendar PRO is present and activated or not) – so I’m not sure what’s going wrong in your respective scenarios.

That said, if you are using Events Calendar PRO and so can switch to [tribe_events_list], you should do so ??

I can confirm this also broke on a clients site of mine. I am using the Pro so switching seams to be a working option for me. I was doing a filter using tag= and it seamed to ignore that and just show all upcoming events not taking the tag attribute into affect.

Thanks Barry. Realised it was an issue with my theme template since the update. Fixed now.

    Thanks for confirming ??

Hello Barry, for me is the same. I use

    [event_rocket_list]

But it turns unuseful when I update…

    Any tip?

    Thank you in advance.

    Not sure, Capitanz.

As above it seems to work for me with just the latest versions of The Events Calendar and Event Rocket running – and indeed if I add the latest Events Calendar PRO release to the mix (though I no longer recommend using this shortcode alongside PRO) it continues to work but takes advantage of the advanced version of the widget that ships with that plugin.

In short, everything seems to be fine. In CarolineElisa’s case you can see that it turned out to be some sort of conflict with a template – perhaps that is true for you, too?

What I’d suggest is trying these troubleshooting steps (except, you should obviously keep Event Rocket activated) and if it is still a problem please create a fresh support topic detailing your system information – but remove any license key information, if applicable – the results of the conflict test/troubleshooting process and a URL so I can take a look first hand ??

    Thanks!
