• I am using EventCalendar 3. Is it possible to make an event on the
calendar without having to make a blog post? I tried to make one with
a private post so that no one would see it but the event didn’t pop up
on the calendar. I’m inputting all the information correctly but it
    just doesn’t seem to work.

Also I am getting the error “Cannot load widgets/widgets.php” – what
    does this mean?

I’d appreciate a step-by-step solution to both of these issues. Thanks!

  • If you read the documentation that comes with EC3, and even if you just go to the options panel, you’ll see that there’s an option to make an event that is NOT a blog post. You have to set up a category specifically for EC3 to use for its events.

It’s all there in the readme and on the options screen.

If I change it to “Events as Normal Post” will it make ALL posts separate pages? I think my client wants only some of the events to be separate. I’m not sure how EC will handle that.
