• Am I being blind, or is there not documentation or instruction on how to display a pages events?

Please can you explain the process?

    Many thanks in advance

  • Hey Systanford,

Probably the best way to set up just an event feed so you don’t mess up your plugin settings for other feeds that you might want to run on your site is within the feed’s shortcode. Here is an example:

    [custom-facebook-feed type=events eventsource=eventspage num=6]

Please go here for the full list of shortcode options you could apply to just an event feed. (There are three sections on the page relating to events alone). Whatever you apply for a setting in your shortcode will override the same corresponding setting in the plugin’s general settings for just that specific feed.

@systanford, just to follow up on David’s response and to clarify; in the free version it isn’t possible to choose to display only one specific post type such as events – that’s only possible in the Pro version. The free version will show any events posted to your page’s timeline, but won’t display events from your Facebook Events page. David’s directions above are for the Pro version and won’t work with the free version. You can see a demo of the events feed in the Pro version here.

Sorry for any confusion. If you have any other questions at all then just let us know.

    Thanks!

    John
