Events are not added to the "daily archive"

When one publishes a blog (e.g. https://bioexcel.eu/gromacs-2016-official-release/ ) , wordpress automatically adds an entry to the corresponding daily archive (in this case https://bioexcel.eu/2016/08/14/ )

However, the events plugin creates a link (e.g. https://bioexcel.eu/events/sig-bioexcel-1/ ) but then the event is not added to the archive (in this case it’s https://bioexcel.eu/2016/09/04/ )

This results in numerous broken links on the website. Is that a bug or I’ve missed something in the settings?
