I’m a potential Localendar user, but my question is, from what I gather, the events are not stored as a custom post type in WordPress. They are created and stored on the Localendar website, is that right?

Are there any plans to move the event data to the WordPress database as CPTs? This would make creating/editing/manipulating/moving event data much easier.

No; we were created outside WordPress, and this plugin in a convenience method for WordPress users to merge in their localendar calendars.

Think of us as a similar solution to Google Calendars. There are many plugins that incorporate your off-site Google or iCal Calendars into WordPress. We are in that family of plugins, providing a way to integrate our off-site localendar data.

An advantage is that if you move off WordPress, you can take your calendar with you.
